Uganda · Annual Eco-Sports Festival

Every mile is a dazzle.

A pedal, a stride, a herd of zebras crossing the road ahead. The Zebra Dazzle Series turns cycling and eco-walking through Uganda into a moving force for wildlife protection, road safety, and rural girls chasing the podium.

"No matter what gets you pedaling or walking every day, we're here to turn each mile into a vehicle for wildlife protection, community conservation, girls to podium, cultural pride, and road safety."

Welcome to the Herd

We are a premier global eco-sports tourism and athletic talent incubation enterprise. Each year we bring together professional cyclists, amateur running clubs, corporate teams, lifestyle fitness groups, and families from every continent to cycle and walk across Uganda.

Generic city marathons keep athletes confined to static tarmac. ZDS reimagines the sports experience entirely — blending high-adrenaline competition with an immersive wildlife safari across a terrain progression you cannot find anywhere else on earth.

Beyond the Tarmac

Three stages. One dazzling terrain shift.

From free-roaming wildlife to indigenous cattle culture to a legendary mountain summit — the course itself is the story.

01
Lake Mburo Corridor

The Savannah Stage

An open off-road cycling track and mass-participation eco-walk where athletes pedal completely surrounded by free-roaming wild zebras, giraffes, and impalas.

02
Ankole Grazing Valleys

The Longhorn Cattle Belt

The track weaves directly through traditional Ankole longhorn cattle farms, celebrating the stunning structural beauty of the iconic breed and Uganda's rich grazing heritage.

03
Kabale Summit

The Alpine Switchbacks

A grueling, high-altitude paved climb through the misty terraced slopes of the legendary "Switzerland of Africa," testing peak lung and quad power at the roof of the route.

Our Vision

To build Africa's premier, globally recognized annual open sports tourism property — transforming competitive cycling and distance walking into self-sustaining platforms that save wildlife, eliminate road fatalities, conserve the environment, and elevate rural African female athletes onto professional global podiums.

Our Mission

To unite a global network of health and fitness communities through inclusive annual multi-sport festivals in Uganda that advocate for zebra preservation, enforce absolute highway road safety, scout and mentor grassroots female talent, and celebrate the unshakeable love, beauty, culture, and joy of the Ugandan people with the world.

What We Do

Four pillars, one moving herd.

01

International Eco-Sports Festivals

Professional cyclists, amateur runners, corporates, and families cycling and walking through Uganda's wildest landscapes, annually.

02

Wildlife & Climate Conservation

Mass terrace reforestation on Kabale's eroding slopes, plus direct funding for zebra protection at Lake Mburo.

03

Ending Highway Road Accidents

High-visibility "dazzle" apparel and reflective gear distributed to commuters, school children, and boda-boda riders.

04

Dazzle Pedal to Podium

Scouting rural girls who cycle to school, funding their tuition, and linking top talent to professional cycling academies.

Wildlife & Community Conservation

Protecting the herd that inspired our name.

Lake Mburo loses endangered zebras every year to illegal poaching and dehydration caused by recurring dry spells. To fight land degradation and mountain soil erosion, athletes, international visitors, corporate executives, and local leaders join hands at our grand closing ceremonies to plant indigenous tree seedlings directly onto vulnerable slopes.

Ending Fatal Road Accidents

We borrowed the zebra's oldest trick.

A dazzle is nature's own high-visibility survival mechanism — a herd of stripes moving as one confusing, unmissable mass. We put that same principle on Uganda's highways.

Road traffic accidents remain tragically common on Ugandan highways, driven by poor visibility and a lack of warning infrastructure. Every ZDS participant becomes a moving wall of public safety advocacy, dressed in high-visibility zebra-striped kit along shared highway corridors.

Dazzle Pedal to Podium

From the school run to the podium.

A structured, countrywide talent pipeline for vulnerable rural girls who already ride 10–15km a day, just to reach class.

Elite endurance athletes, by circumstance.

While a heavy, single-speed steel utility bike solves the transportation crisis, families still can't always afford school fees — pushing gifted girls out of the classroom. But pedaling a 25kg roadster up steep terrain, loaded with water or books, builds exactly the cardiovascular endurance, quad strength, and mental grit that world-class cycling demands.

ZDS captures that raw physical power and turns a daily survival habit into a structured, lucrative international sporting career.

The National Selection Nodes
Node 01 · Vertical Climbing

Kigezi

Hub: Kabale Town

High-altitude alpine slopes and terraced ridges identify world-class vertical climbing power and peak cardiac endurance.

Node 02 · Road Sprint

Teso

Hub: Soroti City

The country's highest-density bicycle plains measure pure road speed and high-cadence sprinting capacity.

Node 03 · Ultra-Endurance

Northern

Hub: Gulu City

Long, flat, unpaved savanna corridors isolate raw physical endurance and long-distance stamina.

Node 04 · Tactical Power

Bukedi & Busoga

Hub: Tororo District

Undulating terrain and rocky foothills test tactical gear shifting and power distribution.

Pathway A

The Classroom Anchor

Full secondary school tuition bursaries, strictly anchored to attendance. We clear the financial burden from families, build a real incentive against early child marriage, and keep girls securely in the classroom while they develop their sport.

Pathway B

The Elite Professional Pipeline

Top prospects are formally linked to elite national, regional, and international cycling academies — transitioned onto lightweight multi-gear bikes, funded for sports nutrition, and placed under certified coaches for a lifelong professional career.

Holistic Holiday Camps

Residential training that builds the athlete, not just the ride.

Digital Literacy

Computer operations, email, and financial accounting basics so athletes can manage contracts and track results.

Mechanical Mastery

Certified bicycle repair, wheel building, and tuning — a real vocational trade athletes can use anywhere.

Leadership & Voice

Public speaking and media training to speak confidently before journalists and global racing networks.

Health & Micro-Enterprise

Hands-on reusable sanitary pad manufacturing — cutting absenteeism and seeding village micro-enterprise hubs.

A Permanent Global Sisterhood

We're inviting women's organizations, philanthropic donors, and elite cycling clubs to join the herd.

Your sponsorship finances raw hardware — sports bikes, safety helmets — clears secondary school tuition ledgers, and builds our holistic holiday camp centers. Together we turn daily transportation loops into professional global podium steps.
